Brat (cover-art stylized in all lowercase, but in online streaming services stylized in all uppercase) is the sixth studio album by British singer-songwriter, Charli xcx. It was officially released on June 7th, 2024,[2][3] through Atlantic Records. The critically acclaimed album, which is considered her long-awaited mainstream breakthrough, also inspired the fashion trend “Brat Girl Summer” as the cover art and multiple songs went viral last month. At a listening party on Oct. 10, the singer told fans that the goal of the remix album was to demonstrate “the infinite possibilities of dance music and music in general.” While the word “brat” usually evokes feelings of middle school angst, brat summer is all about accepting your imperfections while embracing the chaos. This Friday (11 October), she’ll drop the remix album, Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, which stars Robyn, The 1975, Ariana Grande, Julian Casablancas, and more.
In 2019, the critic “publicly disavowed the nonsense I wrote about Vroom Vroom” in a tweet; when Pitchfork rescored several of its most controversial reviews in 2021, it bumped the EP to a 7.8. This is the Hollywood “Brat Pack.” It is to the 1980s what the Rat Pack was to the 1960s—a roving band of famous young stars on the prowl for parties, women, and a good time. And just like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, and Sammy Davis Jr., these guys work together, too—they’ve carried their friendships over from life into the movies.
As a Brat Album Cover Maker, it inspires creativity by replicating the style of the “Brat” album while allowing users to experiment with custom text, brat generator different colors, and alternative designs. Fans can reimagine their own “Brat” narratives, producing engaging visuals that reflect their individuality. “I really wanted to flip out the songs, because that’s what really inspires me about dance music — how you can take one element from a song and completely morph it into something else,” she says.
